Liz Rivera
Development Associate
Liz Rivera graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Latin American Studies from Stanford University. She has a rich work and volunteer background, including Deputy Field Organizer in Virginia for the 2008 U.S. presidential campaign, fundraiser for flood victims in Tabasco, México, and fundraiser for Stanford’s Student Call Center. While at Stanford, Liz also served in various leadership positions through the Chicano/Latino student community and danced with Ballet Folkórico de Stanford—a traditional Mexican folk dance group. She also studied abroad in Santiago, Chile through the Bing Overseas Studies Program. Liz chose Chile because it endured, not too long ago, the atrocities of a dictatorship and, paradoxically, rebounded into one of the largest economies of the region.
Liz is self-motivated, spirited, and passionate about working at Women’s Funding Network because of its global reach, strong values, and commitment to women-led change. Currently, she works with WFN staff, board, individual donors, and institutional and corporate partners to help WFN’s Development Department meet and exceed its fundraising goals.
Liz was raised in Modesto, California, and is fluent in Spanish.
